London & Liverpool

Post by Bill Kibby »

This seems to be another name for Crane & Sons. In 1886, The London & Liverpool Pianoforte Company does not appear on my Liverpool list. By 1894, they are were at Granby Street, where they remained until the Second World War. Some were made by Monington & Weston for this firm.

It would be interesting to have photos for my files, but valuation is impossible without on-the-spot inspection.

I know it was years ago but did you ever find put anything about your Liverpool and London upright with candle holders etc? I have the very same piano and am considering whether to part with it or attempt to tune it - again!

The best thing to do is look around inside the piano for clues. Have a look at pianogen.org
