need help with upright piano

hello everyone. i stumbled upon an upright piano in my grandmother's house. i tried searching some info regarding its origin and maker, asa i want to sell it, but so far my efforts have been futile. can someone provide me with some info about it ? it says "sauer & sohn stuttgart" on the front of it. i uploaded some pics below. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I'm not convinced you "stumbled" across this piano!!.... has your grandmother only just received this piano?

No history available for many makers of old german over-strung pianos - and I doubt if any further info would increase its selling potential. Regrettably these pianos now join the "Ebay" queue - £1, (or even 1 dollar) no reserve. The old ebonised casework is not popular now, and a piano with many knocks & scratches wont sell well. I would try and forget the name on the piano - just say its German - they were established around 1863, your piano looks around the turn of the 1900's. Some had ornate carvings, sconces - sometimes worth selling separately, but unless you had this piano fully restored - its not really economical unless you cant let go of it, or perhaps it has so much history attached to it?

Problem is also that the internal mechanism will all be worn away, materials / felts/ leathers will have perished - a big job in itself.
Just have a look on Ebay to get some ideas.
