Knight K65? Ser#25300?

Post by pharshman »

Hi,

Just bought a Knight Piano for $5. I found it at an estate sale and thought no way could a crappy $5 piano sound good...but it does! And it is even relatively in tune! So I bought it. Now I want to know more about it before I fix it up a bit.

The K65 is on the metal "harp" part of the piano and the 23500 is on the lower right on the inside of the back of the piano. It has 64 keys (i'm guessing it might be 65 and i counted wrong hence K65) and it is more like a spinnet than an upright. If you know any more about Knight Pianos or specifically about mine I'd love to hear about it.

It's a cool little piano and will definitely get a lot of jazz played on it!

Thanks,

Paul

Is that 64 white keys, or black and white? How many altogether?

I wish I could pick up a Knight for 5 dollars or 5 pounds!

The number suggests that it was made in 1959, but without photos of the whole piano, I have no idea if this is likely.

It will almost certainly have a date under the keys of the bottom few notes.
