is this a Steinmayer?
Post by lockpicker1969 »
Hi
My name is Richard and I have just bought my first piano, I have never really played before but have always wanted to. I play guitar, electric bass and have just got myself a double bass.
At the moment my piano is stuck downstairs in my workshop/garage, I live above .hopefully it will be following me upstairs soon.
The deal when I got it was, delivered to the door only. I thought this would be ok as I had ideas to do a few jobs on it first. Through the little reading I have done so far I believe it to be a Steinmayer? Hopefully I will be able to upload some pics for people to look at to check and see if I am right.
Regards Richard

The most obvious thing to do is open the fallboard (lid that covers the keys) and the name of the piano should be there, right in the middle! If there is no name there, then remove the top front panel (2 wooden turnbuckles behind it) - and there may be a name inside. However, apart from that, what other info do you need about the piano? - we seem to know more about you than your piano!
