Sherlock-Manning 1920s
Made in London, Canada. I especially would like to know what type of wood it is made of. It's also been tuned every year for decades as it belonged to a piano teacher. I've been told that it's quite rare due to it's excellent condition, but I can only find a few short pieces of information on Sherlock-Manning via the Net. I'd appreciate any information or relative links. Pictures can be found at

For Bill Kibby.... re: Serial Number info???
Hi again. I am finally back with a serial number: 22439
You had mentioned that you could help me date the piano. I've been told that it is 1932 by the way.
Thank you.

The published numbers jump from 11,000 in 1919 to 105,600 in 1935, so we can only guess at level production, making yours around 1912. Numbers don't represent real production, see
