Newman & Sons, Newport, Gwent

Does anybody know anything about Newman & Sons, Newport, Gwent ? I have an upright Rosewood with candalabras first tuned in 1908. I have not been able to find anything on this piano. I need to know if it has any real value as I am thinking of finding it a new home - I need the space as it is not used.

There is no cash value in a little-known name like this, so everything depends on your tuner's report on its condition. They were in Newport by the 1880s, were a limited company by 1914, but disappeared after that war. If you have logged in, you can read on...
