I would be very thankful if somebody could tell me something of my piano. It's J.L.Duysen number 8134 and have got it from my father who's parents has bought it years ago.Does anybody know when it is made?

I have very little information about this maker so far, except dates of serial numbers, which were collected by a tuner named D.R. Homan in the 1930s, when Duysens were still making pianos. These numbers suggest that your piano was made in 1892, but without photos, I can't tell if this is likely, most pianos have several numbers inside.
Duysen was established in 1860, and some pianos illustrate 4 medals received at exhibitions up to 1899, but the details are hard to read.
