Mignon

Hi, i was just looking about for some information on a Mignon that came into my family some years ago.Serial number 172236 & it has inside made Expressly for Nicholson & Co Ltd...Made in America.I did a age on the serial number and it came back 1880,would this be right?
I would appreciate any help with more history on this piano.

There are other postings in this forum about Nicholson's Mignon, but being a UK site, we have no particular information. See
