Challen Piano! Help!!

Post by calimerocs »

Hi,
I have inherited a challen upright piano. It should date back to the 20s, infact I found the serial number 39875.
It has 2 pedals and cross strings.
I play violino and I play some piano. Since the piano is not tuned, I dont' know if it's worth tuning or if it would be advisable to sell it or to present it to my sister and keep the electronic piano that I already own (casio celviano).
I can provide some photos, if needed.
Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

No one in the world can give you the correct advice here on this forum. If you think the piano is worth something, then I would get it tuned and checked over. If you have inherited the piano free, and if your sister would benefit from it - would be a lovely christmas present!

A piano unseen, unheard and not played is the same as selling a car the same way.
If in doubt - put it on Ebay, start it at £50 no reserve.
