John Spencer & Co. piano

Post by kaz_quiksilver »

Hi everyone

New here basically joined as i would like to know a bit about the piano i have .

It is a john spencer and co piano ..number is 68701 , if im correct and on the brass plate inside it is number 27673.

Any help or information on how old it roughly is or where it may of been produced would but much appreciated. My piano teacher back in 2001ish said it was around 100 years old and was produced in burnham on crouch just down the road from me ...althought i dont know how much truth there is in this.

Many thanks kala

The number suggests that it was made in 1916. The 27673 is familiar, I think that was a patent marked on their actions. I have had a number of people thinking it was the serial number.
