Hi there, just wondering if somebody can please help me regarding the age of my piano. I was recently given this piano but I can't play and want to start lessons very soon but out of curiosity I would love to find out the age of the piano. The piano is a Uebel & Lechleiter upright with a model number of: 2278 Heilbronn. If someone could shed some light on the approximate age of this beautiful piece of musical furniture I would be delighted.

The number suggests that your piano was made in 1889, but most pianos have several numbers inside.
