Emil Ascherberg paint decorated grand piano

Post by UNCLESTU »

Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and this is my first posting. I reside in the USA and own an Emil Ascherberg paint decorated grand piano. The piano was recently tuned and is in showroom condition. I would like to learn a little more about this piano but I don't know where to begin. I can post some photos of the piano. Please tell me what specific parts of the piano I should photograph.
Thanks in advance for any assistance with regard to this matter.

I don't think you are going to find a lot of information about Emil ascherberg in general, and no archives are available to tell us about his individual pianos. I have to say that some that I have come across are terrible old pianos, but some are really quite well made. They were probably replaced by Ascherberg Perzina in the early 1880s.
