A better music desk (one with grippers) for Yamaha U3
Post by MarkGoodwinPianos »
So does anyone know of a replacement music desk I could supply to customers who specifically ask for one with music grippers? Or would you be tempted to do a DIY job?
Thanks in advance for any tips
Mark

That's the only thing they had.
The front edge of a U3 music desk is quite narrow so it may not be possible to fit. In which case a full new music desk might be needed.

The problem with Yam ones they are to thin and split after a wilemdw wrote:If youve got a workshop with a pillar drill and can make up a little jig to hold the desk at the correct angle its a piece of cake, you could drill them all day long with no mistakes.

I just order one of those music desks, thanks for the link.
The product page said delivery £10 but the checkout service has charged me £11
I've chosen to pay by BACS but I haven't received details of how to pay that way.
Shall I use the same bank details that I pay for the forum advert?
Many thanks
I'll let you know how I get on with this new music desk
Thanks
Mark

Any fool can make a piano-- it needs a tuner to put the music in it

It turns out that the postman left the parcel around the side of my house without leaving a note to say what he'd done. So everything is fine, package received. I'll report back to let you know how it fits/looks.
Many thanks
