Knight K10

I have recently inherited my father's mint condition Knight K10 slimline upright piano in a walnut finish and have no clue as to its value. It's serial number indicates that it was made in 1973 and my father did purchase new in 1974 (I have original paperwork). The piano is presently in the Atlanta, Georgia, USA area.

At present I am not considering selling it, but would like to have a general idea of its value, i.e. $500, $1000, etc.

Any help would be appreciated. This was my father's baby and he played it regularly.

We cannot give valuations here on this forum...... please read the text in the blue box above. You will need to contact a piano tuner, who must actually physically tune your piano and check it over in detail to give you a guide of its estimated value. When you make the booking though, you will need to mention that you wish to have your piano valuated at the same time as being tuned.

Piano values vary from country to country, and this is a UK - based forum. Although you say your piano is in "mint" condition, this may be so regarding the external cabinet & keyboard.... however a piano that is nearly forty years old will not necessarily be in this condition internally...... i.e. the working mechanism/ hammer felt condition/ key bushings worn/ general action materials wear & tear.... and so on..... everything deteriorates with age & time!!
