harpsichord help
Hi everyone,
This may not be a proper post here but I am asking for kind help if anyone could offer.
My friend will visit UK and she intends to buy a new harpsichord.
Can I ask if anyone who could suggest any reputable dealers of new/second hand harpsichord?
Dealers near (but not restricted) to Glasgow, London will be partiularly wlecome.
thaks,

Re: harpsichord help
Morleys have a well stocked showroom with new and second hand instruments but the styling of some of them is not particularly authentic. Your friend could also try the Early Music Shop showroom in Denmark Street, London where more authentic copies are likely to be found. Further north there is only the main Early Music Shop showrooms in Saltaire, Yorkshire, where they keep examples of ready made instruments by the Italian company Bizzi.
The market for early keyboards is so limited that most instruments are made to order by the smaller makers, so don't expect to be able to pick up brochures, etc!!
