Geo Westwood London
Hello,
if posted in the wrong area please help.
I have an upright piano with Geo Westwood London printed on the underside of the keyboard cover and Murdoch McKillop & Co. Ltd Glasgow printed just above the keys on the right hand side of the keyboard.
On opening up the top cover I note stamped into the wood at the left hand side 4405 where the piano can be tuned and on the harp casting is 4C.
Other than that I can find no more info. I understand that it was bought in 1926 by a family friend but that may be a mistake.
Can somebody please give me info on this piano or guide me. It needs a good hoover out and and an external clean, then a tune.
Thank you in advance.
Chris

"George Westwood" is a name used by Murdoch McKillop on pianos they sold, it is not thought to be a real maker. Any further clues will be inside...

Just read the message below each of my postings, in other words have a look through my pages at pianogen.org especially the Datemarks page.
