Teague and King Lepine

Post by locky »

Hi,

I've just acquired what looks like a very old Teague and King upright piano in Mahogany. It has the word Lepine on the lid but I can't find a date or serial number. Can anyone shed any light on the age/history or give me any clues as to where there might be a date/serial number?

Many Thanks

Teague & King were retailers around the 1880s and 1890s, they did not make the pianos, and serial numbers will not help you.

Thanks - Does that mean the piano is over 100 years old?

Probably, but I can't tell without photos. "Lepine" remains a puzzle...
