moving piano

Post by jordan2 »

Dear all, I am moving a precious grand piano.
I was recommended by the following company G&R Removals
http://www.gandrremovals.co.uk

Have anyone used their service? Are they reputable? I welcome any comments (either here or by messaging me).
Many thanks!

G&R are very good piano movers. I've used them many times without any problems whatsoever.

These days I use and recommend these guys for the most efficient and friendly service in the UK. The other national movers are all excellent but these guys are the chirpiest gentlemen in the piano removal business in my experience

Sorry if it came over that way. All busy piano movers have dropped pianos at some point, I'm certain of that but the company in question (I won't say who they are any more as my previous reference was deleted) are the only ones to have been unlucky enough to have been photographed and sold to the national media.

I've only ever dropped one in 9 years and thankfully it was a part-exchange scrapper. Quite an awkward moment as the previous owners were watching at the time. It wasn't too dramatic though, it was an up-ending manoeuvre gone wrong, the piano ended up on it's side (not it's back) the customer's drive

If you need to move a piano, hopefully you'll have professional help available. If you decide to ask friends, you will have to give them very clear instructions to avoid inflicting damage to bodies and objects. Here are a few steps to help you move your piano from one location to another.

Piano Heads " nasty" are we getting neurotic?
G&R are superb, as are Tenniswoods, Piano Logistics et al.
I've never had anything but cheerful, competent service from these from these jolly boys.
Our mission in life is to tune customers--not pianos.

Any fool can make a piano-- it needs a tuner to put the music in it
