Re: GAME: Guess the final bid price
I saw one on Ebay a couple of weeks ago - light teak finish - Starting price was £200 ..... No bids and didn't sell! Shame really 'cause the Mini Royal was the most powerful instrument in its class. The over-stringing was so acute that its bass end sounded more like a big meaty upright. Not the best to work on, but I liked them very much in their day.

Re: GAME: Guess the final bid price
The "Mini Royal" has 85 notes, and should never be confused with the "mini" or "pianette" models .... They were (are) terrible, but the Mini Royal is a good piano with lots of omph .... just a bit fiddly to work on. I see that with 22 hours to go someone has place the first bid of ...... 99p! Go on pianolove .....treat yourself xx

It went for £27.15p !!! Someone got a real bargain I think - PianoLove I think with all the posts you contribute here, and your love of the pianoforte, some of us should get you something decent (but cheap) when you do move and have room.

Good post johnkie
I'd be happy to bid under my account. We could sniff out a half decent piano on ebay with no reserve and then agree a maximum bid price and then throw in the bid with 5 seconds left and see what happens.
