Berry piano, help needed please
Hi There
I work in a day centre for the elderly and we desperatly need the space so the old piano has to go
My manager was just going to take it to the local tip but I said let me make some enquiries first.
I have had a quick look (because its buried under boxes) and all I can tell you at the moment is that it says on the front Berry London. It also says Understrung. I noticed a switch thing (sorry my piano knowledge is zero) which says practice. There are or were 2, 1 has broken, what look like metal candlestick holder things on the sides near the keys.
What I need to do is to find out is it worth selling or throwing out.. Any money raised will go into our daycentre funds to treat the old dears.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

We can't value a piano without seeing it. Ring your local tuner and ask them to come and look at it for you; they will give you a knowledgeable opinion, and if it's worth rehoming may even have an idea who might like it.
I play for my own amazement...

Upload 2 photos of the outside and 2 photos looking down inside the top lid of the piano. This will allow us to say if it is likely to have any market value.
It could well be that the cost of an inspection is more than the value of the piano. So I recommend starting by uploading photos for us to see.
