Knight Piano Age Help Please
Post by Steve Turner »
Hey All!
Nice forum here - but I am having trouble getting a year date for my upright KNIGHT piano.
Serial seems to be 16350 and it was purchased through ALLANS in Adelaide Australia.
I think the model is 812773.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve.

Hello there
According to my big book of numbers the serial number 16350 gives a manufacture date of 1955. Does that sound about right?

I expect that should be correct. It was my mothers and she got it at around age ten and was born in '46.
The keys seem to be a composite of wood with a white surface a few millimeters thick to give the right feel. Can you take a guess as to what the white key material is?
Thanks for your help!
Steve.
