How is the snow affecting us?

Just got an e-mail from Amazon telling me that my orders "may" be delivered later than predicted.

Well, nowhere in the UK has gotten off with the latest bout of climate change manifestations, and most of Europe has been affected too.

In this part of Birmingham 14cm has fallen (I measured it myself) causing massive transport chaos and stopping all our buses from running (a decision not taken on the grounds of health and safety but by common sense!)

I took this picture of our back garden yesterday, shows just how deep the snow is here. Incidentally, on Saturday we went to Rugby and there's only about 2 or 3 centimetres there and most roads sre clear except for one or two side streets!

Wonder if Feg in the north would care to improve on 14cm!

Have to disagree Dave - We haven't had ANY snow yet. Forecast has it we get some in about 2 hours... I won't hold my breath tho!

We seem to have a slow thaw on...on the way up my footpath I got a treeload of snow dumped unceremoniously on my head. Thanks, God!

We finally had our first significant snow fall yesterday.

We had a whole inch And the disruption it caused! Thank god the schools are on holiday otherwise I'm sure they would have HAD to have closed them...

Spoke to my friend in Caerphilly yesterday and they'd had 18" of snow!! He had to have his hheart rejigged and the consultant surgeon ended up taking them home in his Range Rover; apparently not even his private patients get that treatment!

He certainly sounded chipper enough when I spoke to him! I wanted to get my metronome out to test his newly rehigged ticker but he didn't seem to think that would be helpful. My old clockkwork metronome is b*ggered and sounds more like a heartbeat anyway!
