Royal Warrants

Post by Bill Kibby »

Over the past 40-odd years, I have collected a huge amount of information about Royal piano-makers, but have been unable to locate a source for information about the actual (old) Royal warrants. Any suggestions?

Is there a Royal archivist whom you could approach? The archivist at Harrods' is Sebastian Wormell, he might know.
I play for my own amazement... :piano;

I have had some wonderful information from the Royal Archives at Windsor, but they do not hold Royal Warrants. No luck with the Public Record Office yet, but I am working on it. Thanks for the tip about Harrods, I have to say I have had no luck through their website, and in the past, they have been very coy about giving me anything except dates of stock numbers.
