That little gem is more geared to the Peri side.

Being a private teacher I have also had to put up with parents arriving 10-15 mins earlier than their lesson and picking them up late.

And No! I don't offer a baby sitting service -parents think they can off load their little Darling's school friend on me when it's their lesson...

...but if you throw them out thirty seconds before their half an houer's officially up, even if they delivered them ten minutes early...!

But one cannot take it out on the kids. And then we get on to being responsible for the kids welfare, not leaving the house until Mummy or Daddy have arrived etc.

I hasten to add it's only a few parents like this.

It amused me recently when a guy needed his son to pass G5 theory...pupil attended a private school and, as always, the school had neglected theory. I was employed to do the crash course over 12 lessons and had to take them back to G3. Pupil pleasure to teach, worked hard etc. Unfortunately they achieved only 82! Dad need not like that as he wanted a distinction...need I say more!

Honestly, I don't know how you teachers stand it; I tune for lots of teachers of different instruments, yet the story stays the same!
