Can you confirm that my grand with the reference S 35 dates from 1898?
It has been professionally restored and has only one previous owner!
Presumably it is a desirable piano to own

S35 doesn't measn a thing, there are lots of numbers inside a piano, we need the serial number. See

Sorry for the misinformation. have now found a number on the damper pedestal. It is 40246. Does this mean something now. i presume the previous reference was only relating to the sound board casting.

No need to apologise, if everybody knew everything there'd be no forums, and I'd be a good typist as well! The numbers are only given at 5-year intervals, but this one suggests about 1894, but
