Help on removing glue....

Post by D Minor »

Piano tuner employed by shop I purchased my U3 from decided to plaster his details on the inside of my piano. It`s on the polyester finish.

I`ve spent about 20 careful mins trying to remove it with water but there`s still a residue left.

Any suggestions how I can remove this without damaging the surface?

(Yes I have complained and I`m still fuming :x :!: )

That is some thing we all do but I normally tell the client or place on the sides Mentholated sprit will remove it but you don’t need a lot

Removing Glue

Post by DHan »

I find that using a small amount of pure olive oil on a piece of cotton and dap over the patch of glue for a while and then use very gentle rub in single direction will do the job. Do not use back & forth action as the dissolved glue will be brought back during the return stroke. Try it see if it works.
