HI, we have just been given a W G Eavestaff & Sons piano. It has the number S9549 on it, and I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough idea of the age?

If that really is a letter S at the beginning, it is not a serial number, but perhaps a stock number for some retailer whose name begins with S. Have a look at pianogen.org
