I have said on the Numbers page of my website that Brinsmead's published dates of serial numbers are unreliable. I am trying to improve my estimates of their dates, and also resolve the conflicting statements about exactly when and for how long they made top-tuners. I suspect that some of the published information about top-tuners was based on erroneous serial number dates.
If you can tie a Brinsmead serial number to any definite evidence, such as changes of name or address, dates of medals mentioned on the labels, or datemarks on keys etc., I would be grateful for details, whether top-tuners or not.
