That registered design was used for many years, it doesn't tell me how old the piano is, but even if you can't find the serial number, it is almost certainly dated inside: Have a look at my Datemarks page at www.pianogen.org

thank you. I've located the serial number now, behind the front panel. It's a K20 and the serial no. is 54397.

Please can you tell me it's age?

Many thanks

Nobody can guess the value or condition of a piano without tuning it. 812773 is not the serial number, it is a patent number.

Hi Bill,

I am trying to determine the age of our Knight Upright Piano.

It has Brashs embossed in gold under the key cover.

The design is 812773 and the serial number is 59757.

If you can help that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jenny

KNIGHT - dates of numbers from pianos I have tuned.
1967 #42500
1970 #47800
1971 #49400
1972 #50100
1973 #51900
1974 #54500
1975 #54700
1979 #62600

This puts yur piano #59757 around 1976, but it should be dated on the keys, so have a look at pianogen.org
