Stelzner pianos, Australia?

I bought my Stelzner secondhand, and would like to know the age of it. The action has Herrburger Brooks Ltd. London. Stelzner patent 429809. It was specially manufactured for the Australian climate.

This seems to have been an alias used on pianos sold in Australia, perhaps made in Germany, but I have no details. Herrburger Brooks puts it after 1919, and suggests that it may have been made in Britain.

Thanks for reply.When you say alias do you mean that it isn't a proper stelzner made piano? I know Stelzner died end of 1800's early 1900's sometime and his company went bankrupt.Do you think it's worth restoring? It has a nice sound but some of the notes stick.

I didn't think there was any such thing as a proper Stelzner piano, perhaps someone like Palings bought up the name from an old firm. Being on the opposite side of the world, I have no funding or opportunity to research actively.

I have a plan to buy a second hand piano which is Stelzner, frankly, I have no knowledge about the piano, as I cannot play it, but, to make my daughter happy, I am trying my best to buy a piano even it not a new one.

my question is, what do you think about your stelzner piano? did it have a good sound? if compare with "Yamaha Piano second hand" with the same level, which one is better? the piano seller told me that the sound of Stelzner is better than Yamaha.

where do I can see the year made of that piano? the seller showed me some a piece of iron plat inside the piano which is shown the name of Stelzner.

I hope can hear a response from you soon as I have 2 days from the seller to consider buying the piano or the seller shall selling the piano to other.

But, I want to hear from Goldieaus, as He or She has bought the secondhand Stelzner, I want to hear from him/her what the comment or experience from the stelzner piano which has bought, did it good or not, as I am now consider to buy one of the stelzner piano from the secondhand seller.
