Piano - no name or make
Hello. Just inherited an upright piano and cannot find a name or make of manufacturer on it anywhere. It seems a good-quality piano with a good cast iron frame, with a serial number 2178 on the frame . Can anyone tell me where the makers' mark may be or, if possible, let me email some pictures to someone who could maybe diagnose a manufacturer. Hope someone can help.

I know it is disappointing if a piano does not have a name on it, but many piano names are meaningless aliases anyway. You can email photos to me,and I may be able to estimate the date, but a number is no use without a name. Have a look at my Datemarks page at pianogen.org for more clues.
