John Spencer piano #42028

I have recently acquired a John D spencer upright # 42028 and was interested in its age.

The letter D would be a model, his name is just "John Spencer". The number suggests 1904, but I have no way of looking the piano up, no Spencer archive information survives, so I know nothing unless you give me more information or email photos, in which case I may be able to compile a report.

Hello,

Can you please advise me of the age of my John Spencer piano with the number 46685. It also has the transfer others mention regarding the Princess of Wales and the Medals in Edinburgh. Also it has been marked with F2. Can you tell me what that means please?

The number suggests that it was made in 1906. F2 may be a model, but there are so many funny things written inside pianos! Spencer models sometimes combine a number and letter, such as 2B.
