Tryber & Sweetland Lakeside pump organ
I have a Lakeside pump organ that I purchased for 300 US dollars. Does anyone have any information about it and what it may be worth? My email is cr250king@hotmail.com if you want to send me anything.

The same applies as with pianos, nobody is likely to give you a valuation without on-the-spot inspection. My active research is aimed at antique British pianos.

i was asking for any information you may have, are they a piece of [****] ? should it thrown away, but really thankyou for your post about not being able to put a price on it "from across the world". no [****] sherlock! i guess that you arn't the expert you claim to be, nor to you have the desire to help others.

That attitude will get you nowhere in the world. We help a great many people, but this is a UK PIANO forum, your instrument is not from the UK, and it is not a piano. We are not claiming to be experts on American organs, and we do not appreciate bad language and abuse on this site.

organ out for garbage tryber & sweetland lakeside pump organ
I'm in Madison WI and on 3/25 there is (may become was) an tryber and sweetland organ
on the street - where large items of garbage are put out.
I know you can't estimate value- I just have a bunch of random questions-
It said on it "The National Chicago". one pedal works and some sound came out,
all the " knobs" were there with the original writting on them -
what do those do?
no sound from the keyboard...
it had a paper certification (original) with 189_
on what I presume had been inside- and some piece of wood that covered it came off. so I assume it was made in 1890"s
would it have been made inn Chicago?
was this a popular item? I'm just curious- it was in so-so shape- but pretty neat-
were a lot of them made?
from when to when (years) were they manufacturered?
any idea of what they sold for? sold in the UK?
If I get any exciting sounded responses I'll go look at in and see if it is there in the morning..
looked like it weighed a ton- "so I didn't take it home"

I'm sorry, we don't see them over this side of the ocean, all I can tell you is that the Tryber Piano Co. was in Chicago, and was succeeded by the Lakeside Piano Co., probably after 1910.
The knobs are stops, each of which stops a particular sound when it is pushed in, so I suggest you pull them all out, pump away at the pedals, and see what you get from the keyboard. I don't know anything about "The National Chicago".
There are several museums and websites that specialise in reed organs, American organs and harmoniums.
