How soon to tune after moving house?
I'm moving house shortly, taking the piano with us. Should I leave it a while to "settle" after moving, before getting it tuned?
I admit it will probably take me a while to get around to it anyway with everything else that needs sorting! It's a 40 ish year old cross strung upright, if it makes any difference.
Thanks,
Sandra.

You've answered your own question really; inevitably it's a while before you get down to stuff like getting the piano tuned, and if you're going to move it (for new carpets or wallpapering/painting) then it's best to wait until that's out of the way. If nothing like that needs to be done then give it about a month.
I play for my own amazement...
