R. Görs & Spangenberg

Post by Babs »

Hi,

I own a R. Görs & Spangenberg upright piano. It is made of, I think mahogany, has brass pedals and ivory keys. If you open it ,there's the number 27132 inside it.
It's in our family for about 60 years and was purchased in Würzburg, Germany.
I'd be grateful if anybody had an idea about it's age.
Thanks

Barbara

I am sorry to say I have no useful information about this name, and no dates of serial numbers seem to be available. If you would like to email photos to me, I may be able to tell more. If you know how to remove the action safely (the working parts of the notes) it may be marked with the action makers' name and number, and we may be able to date this.
