Yamaha or Kawai ?

Post by RoSe »

I am between a 5-year old Yamaha P121NT, a new U1 or a new Kawai K3. Any suggestions ?

I think only you can answer that one, which one do you like? The Yamaha and Kawai have different tone and touch with the Kawai being slightly more mellow. In terms of quality, they are all good.

On the Kawai you will get a 5 year warranty too.Ask Kawais for your nearest dealer. They may have one for the old price. If not, see me!

My instinct would say take the 5 year old piano out of the equation and buy new, unless you need to spend less. Yamaha and Kawai are both great pianos and it is down to which one you'd prefer. I like them both, my personal tonal preference leans towards Kawai, but I have fallen in love with quite a few Yamahas in my time too. Both are faultless really.
