Hi
I have an upright piano. The name on the piano is Thomas Swoger, serial #78522. It was made in Pittsburgh, Pensylvannia. I've done research but have found nothing. Can anyone help me?

No record of this one in standard textbooks, and being based in the UK, I have never seen one. There was a G.E. Swoger in Wilkinsburg, 1928. Read my notes on Piano Names at the top of the forum.

Thank you for your reply. I have recently talked to a, muscian by night and piano tuner by day, gentleman and he explained to me that their were hundreds of piano makers during that time period. And considering that the piano itself was stored in a garage for a long period of time in our lovely "New England" weather restoring it would be a pretty be task. If anything, it still is a beautiful piece of furniture and maybe someday will be restored.

Thank you again,
Jodi
