well good idea, Bill, but the item is in storage at the moment, so rather difficult!!
am shipping it by truck and they interested to have the weight so they use the correct van/lorry!!
however, I have from another non-forum source that it is in the region of 220kg or about 4.5cwt

Dunno! If you weigh each end on scales and add them together, it's reasonable estimate. Mind you don't drop it though!
