What piano exercises do you use for children?

Usually I start a lesson with warming-up exercises by Hanon. But I thought it might be really boring for younger children (9-11 y.o.).
What do you use in this case?

I said football songs not rude songs, there is a difference.

I hate loathe and detest football - well, all sport really - but must admit I found the book on football songs, 'One Ginger Pele', hysterically funny. Get it from the library, Dave, you'll love it!

Thanks for the link, Alexis... Maybe I should try this animated piano exercises for my young students. There are, indeed, a lot of music teacher resources on the internet that can be very helpful for in our teaching career. We just have to learn how to use them to our advantage. HIi there, Practicing scales and learning the chords are a really good way to begin. With scales, you want to be able to play smoothly but with chords, you want to be able to identify the different ones that there are. Also have some one call out a key and you have to find it on the piano is a really good way to learn the different keys. Also practicing the scales and chords with both left and right hands..Thanks!!!
