Modifying Yamaha C3 action
Post by winkybag99 »
Hi all,
Have just tried out a 1999 C3 which has been very little played and is going for a very good price. I like the piano a lot, but found the action a little bit heavy - how easy is it to modify this? (Should add the action did seem to be functioning very well though, repetitions etc. very quick indeed.)
I also tried a new RX-2 which was completely fantastic - it had just been prepped by a head technician from Kawai though so it seems an unfair comparison. Are these pianos as well built as the Yamahas? I've been looking out for second-hand models but has been a bit fruitless so far...
Many thanks!

The RX are nice Tuned a Rx6 on Monday for a recording studio the bass IMO is nicer than a Yamaha mid range is sweet but the top treble sucks, very false compared to a Yamaha However, when in tune and played it did sound nice and the build quality is goodwinkybag99 wrote: I also tried a new RX-2 which was completely fantastic - it had just been prepped by a head technician from Kawai though so it seems an unfair comparison.
