I'm just about to take delivery of a Yamaha C1LS silent grand, and I've currently got a Roland sound module (19" wide rack unit). I'm trying to figure out where to put the module, because I don't really want to put it on top of the piano (my initial idea was to put it flat on top of the music stand, but I've changed my mind). So, I was wondering if it'd be possible to mount it (with some sort of bracket) to the underside of the piano at the right, about where the Disklavier box is on the Disklavier models (http://www.yamaha-europe.com/yamaha_eur ... index.html).
Do you think the piano would be able to support the weight of the module, without affecting the sound quality or creating resonances and vibrations etc.?
Or is it a bad idea?
I just want a neat set-up. If I don't do this, I may have to make some sort of stand to raise it to the required height under the piano.
Thanks,
Mark
