Heinrich Bauer Berlin, Callan & Co Ltd

Post by Eppinger »

We just moved into a house we purchased last year and the previous owner left us with an old piano as shown in the attached images which no one knows its background. I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out the real manufacturer and age (maybe over 100 years and 2826 could be the serial number I guess?) of this old mate. Thanks.

Callan would be the retailer. No dates of this particular Bauer's numbers are available, but I would guess it was made around the turn of the century. If you know how to remove the action safely (the working parts of the notes) it may be marked with the action makers' name and number, and we may be able to date this.
