Yamaha logo - my vision for the future

Right, I know this is completely trivial and nothing more than the equivalent of 'go-faster stripes' on cars, BUT.... you know the Yamaha tuning forks logo that they put on the side of the CFIII? Can you buy them to put on e.g. a C7? I was looking at ours during a recital the other day and thinking it would look pretty classy with the logo (yes, yes, I know I should've been listening, but I'm easily distracted by the thought of shiny things). If so, how much would it cost and is it something I could apply to the piano myself? And will I ever find more important things to worry about than a sticker whilst the world's economy is collapsing around me on every side and the middle east is blowing itself apart? Well you already know the answer to that one, I guess.

They do have a badge for the Motor bikes Yamaha are very protective of their logo and name. Retailers in the Uk are not allowed to have Yamaha in the domain like Yamaha-dealer.co.uk if you do you are asked nicely to get rid, if you don't then is a visit form the men in pinstripes

It seems to be what I was looking for. Surely Yamaha wouldn't have an issue with applying the logo to one of their own pianos? If anything it's free advertising for them. I'm surprised they don't already put it on the C3 and upwards; it looks really smart - well, I reckon it does, anyway!

If I remember rightly, Bluthner put their logo on the side of their smaller grands as well as the big f*ck-off one, and I think Brodmann do too.

There is no problem with putting a Yamaha logo on your Yamaha piano. What Yamaha don't like is people implying that something or someone has an official connection with Yamaha when this connection doesn't exist, such as using a domain name with Yamaha in it, or selling grey imports and making it look as if Yamaha had sanctioned this or has some connection with them.

Yamaha do an official brass-effect one. I'm sure they'll be only to pleased for you to have one for the use of!

Goddammit - everyone's going Brodmann-mad on this forum! And now I find they even come with their own go-faster stripes. I'm trying to stay faithful to my C3 but it's so hard when those Brodmanns are so lovey and shiny and name-on-the-sidey

Just to complete the story; Yamaha sold me the decal for a very few quid and it now looks fantastic on the treble side of the C7's case.
