Spencer piano

Post by sighnomore26 »

I have a Spencer piano the serial number inside the piano is 14483. I am looking for a date as to when it was produced. There is some wood damage to the key cover and one of the side decorations is split. Some keys stick but all in all it very pretty. My mother gave it to me many years ago for Christmas. Now, it is taking up space in my house as I have never learned to play. Basically, I am trying to decide is should I fix it with all these problems or get rid of it.

Also, if any one knows if these were sold in America or any idea how it got to Las Vegas, Nevada USA. I'd love to know.

All I can say is the number suggests that it was made around 1890.
