Buck House piano
I see from today's Times that Brenda is delivering the annual Headmistress' Speech from the Imperial Music Room. Hang on though, surely she's got something more upmarket kicking around the old place than a crappy Broadwood Boudoir grand? What a let-down; if she had any sense of national pride she would have followed Victoria's example and got her hands on something German.

Broadwood used to give her the things regularly. The newest were placed in Buck house and the older ones rotated down the line via Sandringham, Windsor Castle, Balmoral etc. The final resting place was the Royal Yacht Britannia, and one can assume that the ones retired from there ended up overboard. The last Broadwood grands were revolting, so Buck House's example must be a real heap.
I'm sure Phil and Brenda wouldn't know one end of a decent piano from the other anyway, since the most cultural they get is listening to Lloyd Webber. The cheesy one, not the cellist.

If you're buying a piano, try as many as you can and buy the one you like, not a similar one of the same type.
