As it's Xmas (nearly) which 8 discs would you want to be washed up on 'by the Sleepy Lagoon' ?
My choices would be:
Bruch - Scottish Fantasia
Mahler - 8th Symphony (Rattle)
Milhaud - Le boeuf sur le toit
Franc - Violin Sonata in A
Bach - Mass in B minor
Poulenc - Double Piano Concerto (Peter Donohue & Elaine Burns)
Puccini - La Boheme
Rachmaninov - Piano Concerto #2
And for a luxury a self-tuning Stuart (even though I've never played one).

Oh, this will be an ever-changing list!
1) Heroes - Bowie
2) Hurricane - Bob Dylan
3) There there - Radiohead
4) I Cry - Macy Gray
5) Rite of Spring - Stravinsky
6) "Pastoral" symphony - Ludwig vB
7) Enigma Variations - Edward E
Morning has broken - Cat Stevens
I won't bother with the CD player, as Dave will bring his. Anyway, I recon the lecky will be a bit intermittant on the island, so I'll have a wind-up gramophone instead for mine.
