Very old Bluthner

Post by dunrosa »

We have a very old Bluthner Grand (6ft) - it has been estimated that it was made between 1880 and 1885. We are at the stage of having to replace it, but are very restricted by budget and space. Do you have advice on what to do with the Bluthner? We want to "dispose" of it wisely and sensitively, esp. as it was left to us in a Will!

Very old Bluthner

It's a church piano - in Aberdeen. We've looked at rebuilding, but think it will be way beyond our budget. Talking about only &2000 for replacement, but if we could get something for the Bluthner it would be a bonus! We've had one offer of someone to take it off our hands for the cost of moving it...
