Harcourt & Co london
I've basically got my Mum's old piano since she passed away a few years back and don't know too much of its history. It's still working and in one piece, but agewise, other than it's at least 50 years or so old I'm not too sure. Hopefully someone can spread a little light? There didn't seem to be any info in the history pages.

With no pictures and nothing but a name, which may be bogus, it is difficult to say much. We have no record of a real London maker by this name. Most of the Harcourt pianos I have seen were Edwardian, some were supplied by W.H. Barnes, who were a large London retailer, and this may be one of several name used specifically for pianos they sold, presumably bought in from one of the London wholesalers. I have tuned a few over the years, and I believe some of them were marked "Harcourt Model".

Let me know if you've heard of the company? Any ideas on the age?

It looks like something from the twenties, but very similar pianos were made in London up to the fifties. I have already said everything I can about the name. Have a look at my Datemarks page at pianogen.org
