Max Weinel, London & Berlin
Post by purplesnookum »
Hello, we have been given a lovely piano (needs tuning desperately). We would like to know how old it is and a bit of its history. I looked on the internet but couldn't find anything useful. It is an upright piano and it says "London and Berlin" on it and also "Max Weinel" on it. It has sconces for candles and has a floral inlay design and it is beautiful. I wondered if anyone could tell me anything about it? I would be most grateful for any help.
Thanks, Gina

I apologise if I seem to be stating the obvious, but it's important to realise that we known nothing about your piano except its name, which may be fictitious. We have no record on computer of a real London maker by this name, but I'll see what I can find on our card and paper files. You should have a look at the Piano Names page at www.PianoGen.org
Also the Datemarls & Reports pages there.
