Marshall & Rose upright

Post by Nutroast »

Good people,

Please can you tell me more about my Marshall & Rose upright? Its serial number is 206237. I thought it was 1985, the tuner thought 1989... to be honest, if I didn't know they weren't made any more, I'd have said it was made last week it's so clean inside!

Can you tell me a bit more and give an accurate year? Just please don't tell me it's rubbish as I'm rather fond of her and my feelings are bruised easily!

Thanks,
Jan

that does not seem to be the serial number, rather a part number or similar
Look for something around 70000

The serial number should be painted or transferred onto the frame. If it's 1985 it will start with "85", but 1989 may start with "10" Basically it's a Welmar, and Welmar serial numbers will apply.
